The type of files is not limited. Amagno generates a preview for numerous files and recognizes file information as features.<\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">For this function you need the rights <strong>Documents &#8211; Read &#8211; General<\/strong> and <strong>Documents &#8211; Create<\/strong>. You currently configure these rights via the Amagno Client for Windows.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">The manufacturer Amagno GmbH has an explicit import tool for Windows to import <strong>large amounts of data and folder structures<\/strong>. Please ask your Amagno sales partner or Amagno directly.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General import instructions<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Currently, only 10 files can be imported in one process in the beta phase <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The number of files for storage in the app depends on the available license of the registered user<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The file size for the import is currently technically limited to 100 MB per file<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The import does not support folder structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a document is imported into a specific folder, the app automatically creates a link to this folder. On Android alone, the options per device can vary greatly. There may also be deviations with different versions of the same operating system. Drag &amp; drop can therefore work on many systems. <\/p>\n\n<p>The description refers to current versions of Windows and MacOS as of January 2024. In the Amagno Business Cloud (DE), for example, the import options are available to you, which must be configured via the Amagno Client for Windows:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Import via secure FTP, e.g. for connection to multifunctional devices (scanners)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Import via IMAP mailboxes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Import via TWAIN using the Amagno Client for Windows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure and start import<\/h2>\n\n<p>The import dialog controls the vault and storage location and regulates any collisions that occur.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specify files for import<\/h3>\n\n<p>The files to be imported are defined in the upper green area. <\/p>\n\n<p>Depending on the start of the import via the app, drag &amp; drop, etc., the names of the files to be imported can already be found here.<\/p>\n\n<p>If no files have been defined yet, this can be done now:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-5e3a6634-257b-4146-8f80-0bb568f0083f\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li>Select the entry <strong>Store files or Browse<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Select <\/strong><strong>the desired files<\/strong> in the subsequent dialog of the operating system and confirm the selection dialog. This dialog and its menu navigation depend on the operating system and device, so please read the relevant documentation. <\/li><li>The view then switches back to the <strong>import dialog<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-5e3a6634-257b-4146-8f80-0bb568f0083f li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Storage location<\/h3>\n\n<p>The storage location is made up of the vault and the storage location. Depending on the start of the import via the app, drag &amp; drop, etc., the entries for the current vault and storage location are already here.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change vault for storage location<\/h4>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-28b553af-0544-43a9-ba0b-b36bce0d7b00\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li>Select the <strong>input field <\/strong>below <strong>storage ocation <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Select <\/strong> <strong>the desired vault<\/strong> from the menu that appears. For many vaults, the displayed selection of vaults can be filtered by filling in a few matching letters in the input field.<\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-28b553af-0544-43a9-ba0b-b36bce0d7b00 li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change storage location for storage location<\/h4>\n\n<p>The storage location refers to the selected vault.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-7b26ac4f-594c-4119-9b1f-e2656976e38e\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li>Select the <strong>input field <\/strong>below <strong>Storage location <\/strong>.<\/li><li>From the menu that appears (if displayed), <strong>select <\/strong> <strong>On desktop<\/strong> if the documents to be imported are stored on your personal desktop in order to edit them before publishing. Or &#8230;.<\/li><li><strong>Select<\/strong> <strong>Documents<\/strong> from the menu that appears (if displayed) if the documents to be imported are generally stored in the vault without a specific folder assignment. In principle, the digital magnets should ensure automatic assignment.<\/li><li><strong>Select <\/strong> <strong>the current folder name <\/strong>from the menu that appears (if displayed) if the documents to be imported are to be linked to the folder. To do this, it is important that the folder is displayed in the app at the start of the import dialog. In addition, the document is always stored in the vault and, if necessary, automatically visible in other positions using digital magnets<\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-7b26ac4f-594c-4119-9b1f-e2656976e38e li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h3>\n\n<p>The app has a duplicate check based on the file name and\/or the same file content (binary comparison\/hash). <\/p>\n\n<p>To enable a smooth import, you define how the app should handle these collisions.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-58d0d9da-828a-466f-95d8-64546287d8be\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li>Open the selection below <strong>Same file name recognized<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Select <\/strong> <strong>Do not import<\/strong> from the menu that appears so that the file in question is completely ignored during import, i.e. not imported<\/li><li><strong>Select <\/strong> <strong>Overwrite\/New version<\/strong> from the menu that appears so that the file to be imported overwrites the current file in the app. If versioning is activated, the app creates a new version for the importing file so that the current data can be restored in the app<\/li><li><strong>Select <\/strong> <strong>Extend file name<\/strong> from the menu that appears so that the file automatically receives a file name extension. The file is imported without overwriting another file. However, the file can also be stored redundantly in the system.<\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-58d0d9da-828a-466f-95d8-64546287d8be li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confirm and perform import<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-071e04bd-d168-4590-a423-34a3cf4d7810\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li><strong>Start<\/strong> the import by selecting the <strong>green tick<\/strong> in the lower dialog area or &#8230;.<\/li><li><strong>Cancel <\/strong>the import by clicking the <strong>X<\/strong> in the lower dialog area.<\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-071e04bd-d168-4590-a423-34a3cf4d7810 li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">View import progress<\/h2>\n\n<p>After starting the import, a dialog appears showing the progress of the import.<\/p>\n\n<p>All documents that are imported are listed.<\/p>\n\n<p>Different symbols appear to the right of each document name:<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>hourglass symbol<\/strong> shows that the document is waiting to be imported.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>wait symbol<\/strong> indicates that this document is being transferred and processed.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>green thumb symbol<\/strong> shows that the document has been successfully imported.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>red thumb symbol<\/strong> indicates that the document was not imported successfully. The reason is displayed below the document name.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancel import process<\/h3>\n\n<p>Once the import process has started, the import can be canceled for the documents whose transfer has not yet started.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-69445fcc-4d33-47b8-8503-b097d90e463b\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li>Select the X symbols at the bottom right of the dialog to prevent further documents from being transferred<\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-69445fcc-4d33-47b8-8503-b097d90e463b li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exit import dialog<\/h3>\n\n<p>Once all imports have been completed or unsuccessful imports have been displayed, the import dialog can be closed. <\/p>\n\n<p>The following options are available:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-list heroic-styled-list\" id=\"heroic-styled-list-48ec374b-ab91-4a51-9a19-c4f079e43c19\"><ol class=\"fa-ul\"><li><strong>Close <\/strong>the dialog by <strong>selecting <\/strong>the <strong>green tick<\/strong> at the bottom right of the dialog or<\/li><li><strong>Start <\/strong> <strong>another import process<\/strong> directly by selecting the<strong> green plus symbol<\/strong> at the bottom right of the dialog<\/li><\/ol><style>#heroic-styled-list-48ec374b-ab91-4a51-9a19-c4f079e43c19 li:before{\n\t\t                   background:#000000;\n\t\t                   border-radius: 0;\n\t\t                   }<\/style><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are numerous options for importing documents, depending on the operating system and device used.
